We were recently sent some images of a vehicle built for the organiser of the DubFest show at Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng Province, South Africa – it was to be given away to one lucky visitor to the show.

We were extremely pleased to find that the vehicle in question – a beautifully restored VW Golf Mk 1 Caddy, was fitted with a set of 40th Anniversary Wolfrace Slot Mags.

Better still, the build shows exactly how good a car can look when its finished off with the right set of wheels.

Vdub Festival South Africa or Vdub Camp Fest as it is affectionately known amongst enthusiast in South Africa is Africa’s largest and most popular annual gathering of  VW and Audi enthusiasts.

The show attracts at least 10,000 people for the weekend event that takes place on the 1st weekend of February as it has for the past 6 years.

As mentioned, ‘Project Wolfsburg’ as its been nicknamed, is given away to one lucky ticket holder at the Vdub Festival South Africa (aka Vdub Camp Fest) each year.

In 2012 a fully customized 1988 golf mk1 was given away. The car in 2012 was fitted with replica wheels but the team felt that fitting an OEM Wheel for the 2013 car was the right thing to do for the event, thus the Wolfrace Slots wheel was chosen for its classic OEM+ look.
